My sweet Deva boy of 13 years passed on almost one month ago. Although emotional it was also beautiful and deeply touching. I made arrangements for someone from Home to Heaven to be here that evening. I started the perfect music and made an altar with a candle softly burning, a small bottle of jasmine oil, a white pearly stone heart and another earthy stone heart with the word breathe. About 1/2 hour before Amber arrived, in Deva’s favorite room I sat on the floor with him and brought him into my lap. I pet him, talked with him and we had our last momens of time together. Once Amber arrived, my husband sat with me, and although it was a sad time, together we were calm, peaceful and sharing our love. Though we had not met Amber before, immediately she was so supportive, mindful, thoughtful and loving. She informed us every step of the way, made sure we were ready for each step, and I held Deva the entire time. He was loved and nurtured throughout the entire process until the moment of his last breath. After Amber left I continued to hold him for a while. It was hard to lay his precious body into his bed for the last time. I tucked him in and arranged the hearts, his fave ball and some other things around him. The next day I took him to Precious Memories to be cremated, where they are so understanding and thoughtful as well. Deva and I are so grateful for Amber, who she is, her expertiese and her love, and Home to Heaven that gave us the opportunity for such a beautiful goodbye to our sweet loved one. Thank you – Cathy
